A few weeks ago, we took a look at the Hogs and I made the statement that they were an Athletic Department much closer to us in performance than kU was as it pertained to the Border Battle. While I did say Arkansas was slightly ahead of us, it seems like the South Carolina Gamecocks (based solely upon Learfield numbers) are actually much closer. What will our bullets tell us?

Summary:

I will say...I was a little surprised to see USC not competing in gymnastics (though certainly not all SEC schools do) and men's cross country. They are replaced by men's tennis and women's equestrian if you are curious. At any rate, some comparable programs, though nothing compares to the run of the baseball team, even with their disappointing finish this year in falling to Arizona. Loved seeing our collective AD's stepping up for a trophy game in football right out of the gate, and the Columbia thing will certainly be fun/annoying over time.
