So it is too early to say that anyone truly reigns supreme, since no one has set foot onto a gridiron yet, and while lovingly crafting the ballot below has given me agita over the last couple of weeks, it's odd to think of how closely I aligned with the media and with the "coaches" that vote.
Wait. That might not be a good thing after all.
Anyway, as with most polls, it is always up for debate. Especially this one.
And I do expect to be criticized for it, because of course, we are trying to objectify something that is subjective.
What I would like, though, as we move forward, is some advice from the community about how we can make the vote better.
This year, the ballot does not have to be submitted until Tuesday morning, allowing for some more room to breathe from Saturday but (hopefully) not making it too stale as well. And as someone who believes in collaboration, does it make sense to have more input from the peanut gallery here when compiling the final ballot for the week?
In other words, should I post a draft on Sunday night/Monday morning and allow time for community input going forward, to make this a bit more representative of a "Rock M Nation" ballot? Or should I just put the ballot up after I've submitted it and let y'all take a whack at me?
