I've been to Florida and tried all kinds of food that they have to offer; gator, fresh water and salt water seafood its all OK. The best gator I've ever had though is the fried bites appetizer at The Jazz in KC. Here is the closest recipe I could find to it:

While searching around online, I also found smoked gator ribs. Now that just struck me as weird at first, but after looking at the pics and thinking about it, I wanna try this soon.

I felt like I should really include some other seafood type recipes here, I've been meaning to make this one for a long time but just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe I can whip it up in time for next weekends write up and show it off.

Last but not least, Florida and UF still hold on to that bit of trashiness quite well. I can just see them now, hanging out in their '96 title t-shirts and jorts, pounding natty light and gigging. Well, I can get behind the froggin', because frog legs are freaking delicious. I found this "recipe" on how to do 'em up just right on the smoker, and the description was just awesome.
