Mizzou recruiting roundup: 7-0, turned heads, and "SO much love"

At least two recruits put out on Twitter this weekend that they are changing their plans around to make sure and visit Mizzou. Also, a handful of others were in CoMo to see the Gators get swept in a weekend of Mizzou dominance.

So, we're sitting here a 7-0, #5 in the BCS and AP, #7 in the coaches poll. We as a collective group have wondered for the past few weeks when or if those high schoolers out there might start to take notice. It looks like Saturday was that day.

The first to hit the interwebs was Sharieff Rhaheed of Fort Pierce, FL. He announced on twitter that

"Instead of going to #Oregon for my official visit this weekend. I will be going to #Mizzou. I will be with my beautiful mother."

Sharieef is a 6'4", 215lb 3* (Rivals) OLB ranked #45 in the nation. He currently holds offers from Bama, UGA, LSU, Florida and just about any other power school you can think of. ESPN rankings has him as a 4* recruit as well.

The second recruit to come out on twitter as saying he needed to check out Mizzou is 3* WR Kenric Young of Gainesville, FL. Young holds offers from Indiana, Iowa State, Wisconsin & Mizzou among others. He announced that he was looking to set up official visit for Wiscy and Mizzou.

Later breaking this morning was the third FB recruiting tweet of the day. 3* RB Markel Smith out of St. John Vianney in StL has announced that he will be at the USCe game this weekend.

It looks like there were plenty of other recruits in town over the weekend, and I am trying to find out who, if any of them were uncommitted at this point.

There was one certain BB recruit on campus though, Devin Booker. Yup the 4* SG who just happens to be the son of a tiger great was in town and apparently had himself a good time. Jason Jordan of USA Today caught up with Booker and he said that his visit was a 10 out of 10:

I got SO much love up there man. It was crazy!

That certainly sounds like a good sign from a huge recruit for Coach Haith and Co.
