South Carolina 27, Missouri 24: Mauk-to-Washington an incredible moment in a frustrating loss

How a game finishes defines how we view everything that happened in it. And in the end, L'Damian Washington's 96-yard touchdown that set Memorial Stadium afire will not go down in the Pinkel Pantheon at Faurot Field next to Riccio-to-Sesay, or Adam Crossett's field goal vs. Iowa State, or the Moe Miracle, or Gahn McGaffie's kickoff return. Instead, it will be viewed like Washington's long touchdown vs. Georgia last year: an incredible moment in an eventual loss. That's a shame because for a couple of minutes, that stadium was at nearly McGaffian levels.
