Haith's charges, Flip's bipolarity, and the Super Bowl for nerds.

So the notice of allegation for Frank Haith was confusing to me when I read it last night. It seems to almost be focused on the wrong damning details. "Nevin Shapiro made threats to take down the program if Haith and an assistant didn't pay him some hush money, and Haith didn't report it to the proper higher-ups within the Miami program. Oh yeah, and he paid the money." The punishment he would most likely receive if "convicted" (in NCAA terms) of this violation seem far too harsh for the former charge ... and not harsh enough for the latter. But, um, good luck proving that Haith and his assistant paid the hush money. Good ... luck ... with ... that.
