2013 Depth Chart | I don't know ... do you think there's opportunity at OT? It'll depend on how far he's come from a 2012 injury, though. |
2014 Depth Chart | With a year to put on weight, Gill could be a quick contributor at tackle if he is ready for it. |
"I was planning on committing," Gill said. "But I needed someone's words of advice. What am I waiting for? Am I waiting for USC to come offer? Would I pick them? I thought to myself, 'No, I would pick Mizzou over them.'"
For Gill, the decision to stay in-state was the sum of a handful of advantages.
"It's too good," Gill said. "I'll be playing for my home state. I'll be playing in the SEC. We have a class coming in that can help us win a national championship."
This guy has the balance and agility to play on his feet in space and adjust to quick change of direction moves. Shows the ability to gain leverage on shaded down linemen; displays the athleticism necessary to consistently get a hat on active 1st and 2nd level defenders. With added bulk and improved playing strength we feel this lineman should be able to make all the run blocks at the next level. His long arms and nimble feet should be assets in pass protection; demonstrates the ability set with good bend and slide. However all areas of hand use will need to improve; lacks great punch and location and doesn't put his outstanding reach to good use.
Harneet Gill is coming off a serious lower leg injury that kept him out all season. He said he's doing really well with rehab.
