KC Star: T.J. Moe gets a chance to help replace Welker in New England

Perhaps the most intriguing signing is Moe’s decision to go to the Patriots, a team that has gotten a great deal of production out of its slot receivers. Wes Welker, a Pro Bowler who had become one of quarterback Tom Brady’s favorite targets, departed via free agency this offseason, and though the Patriots signed oft-injured former Rams star Danny Amendola to replace him, there could still be an opportunity for Moe to showcase the skills that helped him catch 183 passes for 2,101 yards and 11 touchdowns as an inside receiver at MU.
