3. Lawrence Lee speaks
Post-Dispatch: Big-play threat from Florida feels at home in Mizzou offense
Earlier this month, Lee attended Alabama’s camp in Tuscaloosa and after performing several drills, he had a conversation with Saban, who stopped short of offering a scholarship.
"I know (Alabama’s coaches) were really high on him when he was doing the vertical, broad jump and shuttle drill," Lees said. "All the coaches who were around stopped what they were doing and watched Lawrence. He put on a show."
"I did what I could do, and (Saban) said he wanted to see how strong I played my first three games," Lee said. "But it really doesn’t matter now." […]
"I don’t know about Nate and those guys, but for me it was the (Missouri) coaches," Lee said. "Pat Washington told me everyone has a big facility. Everyone has a weight room. Everybody has a nice stadium. It’s all about the people. You know, I feel like I’ve found the right people. Everyone has what it takes to get you better, but only certain places have those people who are going to lead you in the right direction to make you successful. I really thought they’re the people to help me be successful in football and academics."
