This is coming a bit late in the week as I was super busy on Monday and we had what looked like more than enough content for all you rabid readers (I love alliteration). So, lets kick this sucker off!
Visits!
Looks like there was at least one significant visitor on campus this past weekend.Nate Brown a 3* WR from Georgia who has at least a dozen FBS scholarship offers was in town and according to PM, may be near a decision ($).
All the Athletes!
Another Georgia 3* WR/Athlete has narrowed down his list of schools and Mizzou is right at the top. Thomas Wilson, a 5'10", 176lb athlete from Buford, GA has an even more impressive offer list than Brown. He has at least 20 FBS offers including a slew of SEC, BigXII and BIG10 schools.
KC QB Could be a STUD
Drew Lock, a 2015 Pro-Style QB out of Lee's Summit High School (Berk's alma matter) just absolutely blew up this past week in a 77-55 win over Kearney (MO) HS. Yes, that is a football score. He already has confirmed offers from Mizzou, MO State and Louisville. He is garnering interest from Oklahoma and Notre Dame as well.
So, where does Mizzou stand for the '14 class?
According to PM here is the current commit list for '14:

So, breaking that down it looks like, all info from PowerMizzou:
5 offensive lineman committed with an average size of 6'5" and 277lbs. I love all that beef, I'm sure Josh Henson does too. Avg star rating: 2.6.
1 TE and 3 WR's. Avg star rating: 2.25.
3 DB's that are all 3* rated.
3 ATH's. Avg star rating: 2.66.
A 3* DE & a 2* LB.
A 2* RB & a 3* Dual Threat QB.
Locking down the borders! or, maybe not...
I know a lot of people are concerned about Pinkel and Co. locking down the borders of the state and keeping home grown talent just that, at home. It looks like right now the KC area has 5 recruits currently listed as committed and in the '14 class. This does include 1 recruit from a Blue Valley school which Andy Hill has had quite a bit of success mining in the past. There are 4 recruits from else where in MO: Springfield, Columbia, Lamar and East St. Louis included (I know ESL is in IL but I count it darnit!).
One positive in this class has to be the amount of interest Mizzou is receiving from recruits in the Sunshine State. Pinkel currently has 4 recruits committed from Florida. I know the staff has talked a lot since the SEC move was announced about expanding their recruiting footprint to the fertile HS football hotbeds of GA, MS and FL. This seems to be a move in the right direction.
