So, hey. How's everyone doing?
I'm fine, thanks for asking.
Oh, where have I been? Well, I've been out and about, scouring the country, scouting team after team after team, poring over All 22 film and making copious notes about each and every squad in the country.
Okay, okay, you got me. I've been sitting on the couch, drinking Cheerwine and eating pizza. I have been watching games each and every weekend though.
In the past, I would have come up with my preseason Top 25 and then come up with a justification for keeping Alabama on top each week even if it pained my soul.
Well, the job of doing the BlogPoll ballot each week is no more, as the Blogpoll apparently passed away quietly this offseason. In my Cheerwine induced stupor, I apparently missed the message that told me it was gone.
But fear not, intrepid Rock M Nation readers, for our fearless leader (and published author!) Bill C. managed to convince me to come back and write up a top 25, lack of an actual poll be damned.
So, I went into the lab and carefully considered a lot of different variables that could be examined and run through statistical software and a handy Excel spreadsheet.
Then I just said fuhgeddabodit and ranked teams from 1-25 based on my own eye. Sorry.
Anyway, without further ado, fanfare, or lame jokes, here's my Top 25 through Week 3 of the 2013 College Football Season:
