Exhibit A: how he followed his interceptions Saturday.

His first pick, intended for Marcus Lucas around the goal line, was an admitted overthrow and poor decision. On Missouri's next offensive snap, Franklin completed a 16-yard pass to Jimmie Hunt, part of a 4-for-5 passing performance during a touchdown drive.

His second interception wasn't his fault, quarterbacks coach Andy Hill said. Hill said it was a coaching mistake and that signals got "jacked up." The intended receiver, L'Damian Washington, didn't run the route Franklin expected.

What followed that? Another touchdown drive in which Franklin hit three of four targets.
