We begin with what will apparently be a new, weekly feature: a week-in-review piece from Dave Matter.

3. OTL

I'm going to do my best to filter between the truly substantive Sasha Menu Corey pieces and the more hysterical, "Independent investigation? Not enough! Get the government involved! Take it to the president! Fire Mike Alden just in case!" links. But I make no promises. An awful piece might slip through. Regardless, like I said on Sunday, I'm all for asking further questions, I'm all for making sure Missouri made no specific, crushing mistakes in this process (things that need to be rectified immediately so this doesn't happen again), and I'm all for a rape investigation. But I'm already tired of the posturing and the piling on (and it's only just begun), and I hate that the parents decided to get ESPN involved because Missouri was showing "condolence, but not comfort," or whatever that quote was from Sunday.

7. RIP, folk legend

I hope to still be an idealist in some regard at 94 years old ... or, hell, even 44. That's a tough enough feat, but Pete Seeger pulled it off (and this obit is tremendous).
