You will excuse the brevity of this post, but by the time you read it, I will be headed to the Great White North for a few days with family. Bill will be nice enough to take you home on the updates for the next few days.
The thing about having to use the opening spread is that, sometimes, it moves....a lot. The Tigers opened as a 3.5 point favorite, but by game time, were the underdog. Clinging to a 3 point lead as Okie State drove down the field, the cover (and more importantly, the game) was in all sorts of trouble. But Michael Sam made an All-American play and Shane Ray earned his post-game meal with a scoop and score to salt it all away. Meanwhile, in a game most MU fans know nothing about, Tajh Boyd went crazy and tOSU was exposed just a bit (again) in losing to Clemson.
For the contest, HNTR retains the spot at the top, now by three games over MizKC and mizzougold. One more win (with six picks remaining) will set a new bowl contest record, so obviously a number of people are in position to best the all-time mark of 45. At the other end, we have a two-way tie with ColumbianKramer and LongSnapper4Heisman, both at 25-39.
For the year, we now sit at a tremendous 53.69%, over 1,000 games beyond .500. All-time, we have eclipsed the 51% mark at 51.11%. Very impressive.
One game today with Vandy and Houston. Vandy is a pretty overwhelming choice to cover the 1.5 points, while the O/U is almost split down the middle.
Let the glow of the spreadsheet warm you on this frigid morning.
