Mizzou Volleyball snapped their two-match losing streak in a 3-0 over Auburn on friday, with Coach Wayne Kreklow taking home his 200th career win at the helm for Missouri.
MU controlled the match en route to the sweep, finishing the match with a .326 attack clip and just 11 errors, their lowest total since the SEC opener against Mississippi State. The Tigers posted a .433 third set clip while holding AU to just .069 hitting to complete the sweep, and extend Mizzou's SEC home win streak to 12 matches.
Carly Kan lead the way for the back row with a match-high 11 kills, .435 attack percentage, and just one error, her second best performance this season. At the net, it was all Whitney Little as usual, posting a team-leading .643 clip in the win. She also set her ninth school record against the Tigers, reseting the block assists record at 378 in her Missouri career.
While the offense guided the way for the majority of Friday's win, the Tigers defense put out another good performance in holding Auburn to .184 hitting. Sarah Meister pulled in a match-high 13 digs from the back row, while Little and Emily Thater combined for 11 blocks to render the AU offense useless all match long.
After two tough road losses to Ole Miss and Georgia, this was a much needed boost for this team going forward. The Tigers played clean, effective, and efficient in Friday's win, limiting mistakes and making every swing count in what I would say was one of their most complete performances of the season.

Mizzou travels west on I-70 to take on UMKC, who is currently riding a 11-match win streak, and leads the WAC in hitting percentage, kills, and digs this season. The 'Roos are riding a ton of momentum coming into tonight's game, so nothing less than a complete game from MU will help the Tigers avoid the upset. We've seen this situation several times before this year, thinking Mizzou should easily handle a non-conference opponent, but Friday's win over AU should give MU a little momentum for a big victory in KC.
