He came away impressed by everything he saw. Since then, Warren communicated with Alex Grinch as much as possible. They talked about football, recruiting and a myriad of other topics. Over time Warren became very comfortable interacting with the safeties coach.

Rated a two-star prospect by Rivals.com, Warren is Mizzou’s 12th commitment for 2015. He also holds offers from Georgia Tech, Indiana and Marshall, according to recruiting sites. On his hudl.com profile, Warren is listed at 6-1, 190 pounds.

Warren fits the Mizzou prototype in a lot of ways. He's a track guy, he's a potentially strong return man, and he plays in a football- and competition-heavy area of the country. He's from Conyers, Ga., which is about 30 miles east of Atlanta; his Rockdale County Bulldogs play in one of Georgia's larger districts and currently stands at 3-3 on the season. He has scored six touchdowns this year, via rush, reception, and return.
You'd have to ask someone else why Warren is, to date, only a two-star recruit. He has good size for a defensive back, and his film below (again, against not-awful competition) is solid. He will join a crowded, young defensive backfield in 2015, but he might be able to see the field as a return man reasonably early in his career. He certainly has the acceleration you look for from such a player.
Welcome, T.J.!
