Preview: Mizzou vs. Texas A&M | GaryPinkel.com

The bizarre scheduling pattern has been a blessing in disguise for many members of the Mizzou Football Family, as 24 current Tigers call the Lone Star State home. Mizzou has made a concerted effort to recruit players from the state of Texas, shown by the fact that it is the second-most represented state on the Mizzou roster, behind only Missouri.

PowerMizzou.com - Last chance in Texas?

If I had to pick my favorite place to play a road game at, it might be impossible to narrow it down to one. I do know that Kyle Field at Texas A&M would be in the conversation though.

Although he'll never know how good a football player he could have been, Keith McGovern got to experience the sport through his brother, who played fullback at Northeast Missouri (now Truman State) and, later, his son.

Mizzou in the Pros, Gack edition

Gachkar becomes a linebacker for Bolts | UTSanDiego.com

"He made me excited in the fourth quarter," Rivers said of Gachkar. "There wasn’t much that was gonna get me excited at that point, but watching him got me excited. He’s flying around making plays . . . In the most difficult environment, in the toughest circumstance you can be in, he was absolutely playing his heart out. It didn’t matter we were getting killed. He was like, ‘I get to play NFL linebacker.’ It fired me up."

Squeaky Bouncy Hoops TONIGHT!

Freshmen get shot to step up for Mizzou : Dave Matter

As for the other rookies, the staff envisions 6-8 forward Jakeenan Gant as a skilled power forward, but at just 207 pounds, he’ll need some muscle to become a force in the paint. Guard Tramaine Isabell hasn’t been shy about shooting — only sophomore guard Wes Clark has taken more shots than Isabell’s 19 — but he’s shown flashes of being a floor leader with scoring ability. Shooting guard Namon Wright played well late against William Jewell on Oct. 29 but was the last player off the bench against UMSL.
