Wright has the body and the game to be a factor for Mizzou right away. He has the ability to defend all three perimeter positions, which is one big reason why his signing was a huge one for Kim Anderson. And he's got the offensive impact to be a 3-4 year guy who could be all-league by the end of his career. He's a good athlete without necessarily being a great one, but he has the ability to attack the rim and has a brilliant Euro-step. Which is an effective offensive move to get your shot off in and around bigger players. Being a top 75 player, and a 4-star recruit, Anderson and Co. were fortunate to keep this young man in the fold, as he was highly effective in a short amount of time in his first action against William Jewel.
My expectations for Wright are a bit tempered to start, though I think he has the chance to really blossom with more time and effort within the next few years. What I'd like to see from Wright is an effectiveness with knocking down open jump shots, since that has been one of the areas of concern about his game to this point. If Mizzou can count on Wright to knock down open shots, the team as a whole becomes a lot more dangerous. On top of it being a good omen for Wright and his bright future.

In watching his highlight tape you see the potential to be a good small forward, two guard dependent upon the line up we put out there. He's strong, and doesn't look like a freshman typically does, so he shouldn't get pushed around the perimeter by athletes his size, but again he's a freshman with a learning curve.
Hopefully he can get some minutes in the first few games before we take on the big boys in the nonconference, because if he's filling that 2/3 spot with quality minutes and some off the dribble scoring or he's crashing the lane, I'd say the expectations for Mizzou take another tick up.

TONS of potential. He's got a huge opportunity here, especially in light of Biedscheid leaving. Really hope to see either him or MGC take ownership of the 3 spot. The minutes will be there for both guys. Let's go with 7-9 PPG and our best perimeter shooter.
