Mizzou Links, 3-11-14: Criswell out for SEC tourney, and Brown-Clarkson stay or go together

Tony Criswell is out for the SEC Tournament because of eviction (!), and the Jordan Clarkson/Jabari Brown duo will likely stay at Mizzou or go pro together.

“Tony will not be making the trip based on he’s got some things he’s got to take care of back here in Columbia,” Coach Frank Haith said during a news conference on Monday afternoon.

The announcement comes less than a week after Criswell lost a judgment in civil court and was ordered to pay $2,717.57 in rent and late rent and $823 in attorney’s fees in a case involving his apartment complex, The Reserve at Columbia, according to court document dated March 6.

But Criswell has displayed a pattern of irresponsible behavior this season. The senior forward has already been suspended for three games, sitting out the first two and the team’s conference game at Auburn for undisclosed violations of team rules.
