T.J. Moe talked about unions on Up, Softball and Baseball both took big series against ranked teams, and the Mizzou athletic department made some money this year.

KC Star: Missouri reports athletic surplus for first time since 2009 fiscal year

During its first year in the SEC, Missouri received $21.1 million, which accounts for most — but not all — of the $25.6 million revenue boost.

Tickets sales and contributions spiked in 2013, including an increase of $3.6 million for football ticket sales. [...]

The Tigers’ athletic department reported a $6 million surplus after declaring $70.3 million in operating expenses. It’s the first year since 2009 that Missouri, which reported a $16.3 million deficit in 2012 without its conference revenue, reported an operating surplus.
