1. Basketball recruiting, ahoy!
As I understand it (and honestly, I might not understand it at all), the deadline for Jabari Brown and others to remove their names from the draft and retain their NCAA eligibility came and went last night. It's an incredibly fast, dumb deadline, but unless he pulled his name out and told nobody, I assume that means he's officially gone. So I guess that means we need to talk about recruiting...

(17 points and seven assists per game with 43% 3-point shooting? Damn.)
And while the SEC wasn't great this year, it's certainly been thumped by early entry.

And if you missed it, East St. Louis defensive lineman Terry Beckner was named the No. 6 overall player in the 2015 class by ESPN. Under his name when they're discussing him: "Considering AUB, FSU, MICH, OSU, USC, among others." Considering he named Missouri his leader last week, that's pretty fun. You don't have to assume he's going to sign here, but I think if he names Mizzou his leader, you are probably required to mention Mizzou as something other than "among others." But that's just me.
Meanwhile, moving from the "future players" to "former players" department...
