Mitch Hall
6'5, 320, Jr.
The Beef: Hall (the Ole Miss transfer) served as McGovern’s backup last season, seeing time in 13 games (all except aTm). At 6’5, 320, he is the biggest of the linemen and will now look to become the starter at right guard. Though Mizzou employs a rotation of players that is sometimes not position-specific, RG appears to have the least amount of depth in terms of previous playing time.
countrycal: Mitch completes a very imposing offensive line that is big, experienced and accustomed to playing together. No other group on the football field requires the ability to work together with precision and a sense of brotherhood like the offensive line. I think these five upperclassmen show a real promise to Mizzou fans of a consistent start to every play, setting the stage for a dangerous offense that can grind a defense backwards down the field, or spring loose the Tiger skill players for long strikes downfield either by ground or air.
Bill C.: Hall is now called upon to become this year's Connor McGovern; the other four projected starters are either returning starters or last year's top backups, and while Hall was in the running for a starting job last year, he was surpassed by both Max Copeland and Anthony Gatti. By default, that makes him the weakest link in this year's line ... but I thought McGovern was the weakest link last year, and he thrived. So what do I know? All I know for sure is, of Missouri's two Mitch Halls, this Mitch Hall is evidently the better Mitch Hall.
AlaTiger: As the projected starter who has seen the least action, Hall is a bit of an unknown. His positioning between Boehm and McGovern should be a help.
