Mizzou's offense took a little while to really get rolling, but once things started clicking Toledo didn't have an answer. Mauk finally settled in and hit 21 of 32 passes for 325 yards and 5 TDs as well as a rushing TD. The defense still gives a little concern as the secondary continues to struggle a bit and the linebackers need to show a little more against the run, but overall it's hard to complain too much.
The turnover streak continued, which is something we can always get excited about. It's kind of hard to peg this defense as "bend don't break" as they do seem to get beat in the red zone, but holding what is a pretty decent Toledo offense to 24 points isn't too shabby. Every time it looked like the defense might give something up to put Toledo back in the game, the offense had a quick answer, which is promising. The receivers had a very good game (even with Hunt's drops) and the running game continues to impress.
Personally I'm pretty excited about this win, I saw a team that will be hard to keep up with in the SEC. How do you feel after this win?
