Yep...TOTALLY forgot we had outstanding business with the final game from last week, so here is the wrap-up which is quite overdue. Congrats to Matthew Vogt, who (7) was closer to the total of TD's scored in the game (10) than Ask The Nickel (6) for the final tie-breaker. So while both finish an impressive 51-25 (a record amount of wins, but not the record for best winning percentage because of the additional bowl games this year), Mr. Vogt will forever be in the annals of RMN history as the winner (you know, in case we ever get around to documenting in annals).
At the other end of the line, Jack618 finished two games clear of anyone else at 27-49 for the bottom of the barrel. As always, congrats?
For the community...well...we've had better years. Last year helped us finally get over the .500 hump all-time again, and while this year did not bury us back under it, it did not really help us. All told, the community finished 198 picks to the good (out of over 12,300) at a percentage of 50.8%. All-time, that ended up trending us down just a tad, but we are still over 51% at 51.19% after over 65,500 picks (yep...that many).
Thanks again to everyone who participated, and a special thanks (again) to both Bill C. for his wizardry with the spreadsheets and countrycal for his keen eye. At some point before next December, I will go about updating the all-time list, though I make no guarantees about when that will happen. In the meantime, for those interested, you should be able to view the Results sheet HERE, while you should also be able to view the All-time records (updated through 2013-2014 only) HERE.
Our 2nd longest running contest will be coming up in March as I am sure we will have some sort of RMN Bracket Challenge. I believe the challenge will be extra competitive this season, what with us not having to worry about picking MU and all :-) Until then....
