Four-star 2017 Kansas City WR DaRon Davis commits to Missouri over Kansas

Kansas City Hogan Prep receiver/running back DaRon Davis, one of the top players in the state of Missouri for the 2017 class, evidently committed to Missouri on Thursday night.

Davis is a high-three-star recruit (No. 3 in Missouri) according to Rivals and a low-four-star (No. 2) according to the 247Sports Composite. He had thus far listed offers from Missouri and Kansas. Here are some highlights from 2014, his sophomore season, in which he gained 1,502 yards on just 92 carries:

Davis is listed at 6'1, but it seems like about 5'8 of that is in his legs. He's got an incredibly long stride, and his potential is obvious once he grows into his body. (And you can see from the junior highlights from his MaxPreps page that he's definitely growing into his body.)

Davis is the first known Missouri commitment in the 2017 class, and he's a pretty good place to start.
