So Katy Perry rode into the Super Bowl halftime show on a Tiger.
Neither here nor there, but she also danced with singing sharks.
She also ... wore a Wii remote strap? On a related note, Katy perry has more or less won me over with her inability to give a damn.
It's like Katy did a "How do I win over the dudes at @sbnation" market test and unveiled the results slowly over the last four months.— Bill Connelly (@SBN_BillC) February 2, 2015
Oh yeah, and Justin Britt played in the Super Bowl, too! Gave a shout out to "LHS-MIZ" in his starting lineup intro.

And while we're at it, lots of other things happened this weekend (not including recruiting, which we'll address in a separate post)...
Alden's press conference
The Trib: Alden's legacy includes a big tree of ADs
The Trib: Alden got the big decisions right
The Trib: MU coaches describe Alden as demanding, caring boss
The Trib: Gary Pinkel and R. Bowen Loftin on Mike Alden
The Trib: Mike Alden talks legacy, future plans, truck stops
Yeah, read to the truck stop story at the end of that link.
Post-Dispatch: Who's Mizzou's next choice for AD?
Post-Dispatch (Bernie): Alden dramatically transformed Mizzou
The Missourian: Mke Alden: 'Faith' drove his decision to depart Missouri athletics department
Dave Matter's "next choice" piece above is pretty good -- potentially worth fighting the increasingly nightmarish Post-Dispatch website (pop-up ad, pop-up ad, auto-play video, and if you're on your phone, why don't we just hop over to the App Store so you can buy something, too!). All I can say is, if Mizzou can somehow sway Chris Del Conte away from TCU, that would be pretty amazing. And amazingly expensive.
Still another month to go :-/
