Chase Abbington originally committed to Missouri in March 2012; he was one of the first (and most highly-rated) commits of the 2013 class, and after failing to qualify out of high school, he headed to Hutchinson Community College and became the first commit of the 2015 class as well.
At Hutch, Abbington has continued his grooming as a big running back, something Missouri hasn't had many of through the years. In high school, he was a stud athlete without a clearly obvious position, and while he will start at RB, it's not hard to see him eventually moving to receiver or safety/linebacker.
As a running back, he is athletic and decisive; one wonders about his physicality, but he'll get plenty of time to work on that. Despite the JUCO detour, he will show up in Columbia as a redshirt sophomore.
