For obvious reasons, the receiver position was of high priority for Mizzou in the class of 2015. And late in the recruiting process, the Tigers plucked a Tennessee slot receiver away from Tennessee.
Watch the first clip of Johnathon Johnson's highlight video, and you see loads of confidence and speed. You can also already hear Gary Pinkel and his assistants yelling at Johnson for showboating. They'll try to beat that out of him without removing any of the confidence.
In a class full of both receivers and potential return men, Johnson stands out with his acceleration. He's an angle-buster and an incredibly confident runner. At his size, he'll certainly need all the speed and confidence he can muster, but it appears he's got loads of both.
