From my original Perkins Commits post:
He has good defensive instincts per his highlight film above [insert all proper "yes, these are highlights only, and yes, these highlights are against high schoolers" caveats here], and he appears to very much enjoy making big hits. That's not the most common trait for a track-star football player, and it's pretty exciting.
Perkins' highlight film is perfectly structured. Here he is as a receiver going long. Here he is as almost a nickelback, playing close to the line and pursuing the run. Here he is as a stud return man. Here he is as a deep safety charging toward the line. Here he is running a nice route as a receiver again. Perkins is a stud athlete with football IQ, and one assumes this staff will find plenty of use for him.
