Mizzou is playing for a potentially higher seed and for their last opportunity for a road win of the season.

Getting a Road Win would feel good no?
The last time Mizzou faced off with the Bulldogs of Mississippi State the Tigers started off TERRIBLY. I mean the way they played in the first half at home, it was something. At one point there were down 17 points and if not for the heroic efforts of JW3 who had 27 points, the game would have been a massacre. Like the home game against Tennessee Mizzou was able to rally and take a late lead into the final media timeout before like the Tennessee game the bottom fell out and they couldn't finish. Also, in that game Tramaine Isabell was still on suspension, Teki was still recovering from his back injury and Jakeenan was still slumping.
Tonight not only can Mizzou get that game back, get a road win, but with a potential Auburn loss against UGA (this was written before that game concluded), Mizzou could move up to 13th place and then play State a 3rd time in Nashville. Lots to play for, let's see what the Four Factors have to say.
Here's a reminder of what they mean.
As you can see we've got two not great teams who don't shoot well, don't rebound all that well, don't take care of the ball that great, but State does shoot their freebies quite well.
And the free throws could be an issue. Last time these teams faced off there were a total of 51 fouls called and 54 free throws taken, it was amazing! So with this game being on the road this could play a factor not only in how and where the game is won, but the commitment to your time on the couch, barstool or front seat of your car.
I'm sure you've read today's preview but just in case you haven't, let's review Sam's three keys to victory.
1) Don't get blown out of the barn immediately. Last time as I pointed out Mizzou was down 17 before anyone had a chance to get to their seat it felt like. To stay in this game on the road you have to be able to keep it close right from the jump. Make your shots, keep it close and we've got a chance.
2) Board, Board, BOARD! Last game Mizzou won the battle on the glass, and they've got to do it again tonight. Control the glass and you control the game, it's just that simple.
3) The Kids of the Future. Basically, how Teki, JW3 and Namon play could dictate how this Mizzou team fares as they're the future and the future begins now!
That last Mississippi State win over Mizzou back on February 15, was their last win on the season, so let's not let that happen.
It's our last regular season game of the season before the SEC Tourney Tiger fans so let's get at it, pull for our Tigers and hang out for the night.
