2016 Football Recruiting

Athletic RB Tre Bryant focused on 5 schools - SBNation.com

However, proximity could play a role so that he can stay close to his mother and she can watch him play, while he also feels like he's a fit in the spread offense run by the Tigers. But as much as he likes the offense, he's willing to commit to a school that focuses on running the ball between the tackles as long as he's comfortable there.

According to The Opening Chicago Testing Results

Tre Bryant, RB: Height: 5-9.5, Weight: 198, 40 time: 4.53, 20-yard pro agility shuttle : 4, Nike Football rating:131.91

That's a pretty good rating (higher is better) and it seems like Bryant is a a fast bowling ball, just the kind of running back Mizzou loves. Plus he's apparently been getting some "solid" advice from a recent recruit who flipped and signed to Mizzou, STL DE Nate Howard:

On the quarterback front, Mizzou is the leader for Florida area QB, Rex Culpepper. If you click thru the link below and play the video, he talks very highly about his visit to Mizzou and the relationship he's building with Gary Pinkel.

SEC Team is the 'front runner' for Culpepper - Football Recruiting - Scout

Culpepper, 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, is the son of former Florida Gator and NFL defensive tackle, Brad Culpepper. Since the end of the 2014 season, the strong-armed, mobile quarterback has really dedicated himself to the weight room and will have plenty of weapons to toss the pigskin to in the fall.

Mizzou's first commit of the 2016 class, offensive lineman Trystan Castillo talks about how he plans on being a leader on the recruiting trail for the Tigers and encourages others to 'commit to the Zou".

JUCO Tackle Tate Leavitt Talks Mizzou - Missouri - Scout

"Coach Ricker and I go quite a ways back," explained Leavitt, referring to the current Missouri Offensive Line Coach and former Western Michigan assistant. "He was my first offer in high school. So, it’s cool to be recruited by him again, and kind of going along the same paths."

Mizzou is looking for Andrew Baggett's replacement for next year:

Mizzou in the top 15 for a Louisiana linebacker with a name that's simply divine.

On the #DLineZou recruiting trail, Mizzou is targeting elite players with names like Handsome and a Boss

Missouri leads for Hansome, JUCO DT

"Missouri is very high on my list," he admitted. "They send defensive linemen to the NFL like crazy. I like Coach Kuligowski a lot, too. He is a beast of a defensive line coach. It's the SEC, too, which is big for me. That is the best conference in the country."

Missouri Moving Up With Kelly? - Missouri - Scout

Kelly said that he was favorably impressed with his visit to Missouri.

"Missouri definitely moved up," said Kelly. "It was kind of eye-popping! I really didn’t expect how nice the facilities are."

Kelly said that his father was impressed with Missouri. "He loved it!" said Kelly, speaking of the impression Missouri had made on his father. "As far as the academic program and the football program, he loved it! We’re going to be back for a game."

2015 Football Commits

Two of the incoming commits fit the Mizzou mold of being underrated athletes who can develop into true wide receivers.

Mizzou WR commit, Johnathan Johnson is fast

Mizzou WR commit, Emanuel Hall posted his SPARQ score, which is always very informative:
