Sunday afternoon, Missouri defensive lineman Harold Brantley of the football team and guard Maddie Stock of the women's basketball team were injured in a car crash on US-63.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brantley, the driver, slid off the right side of the highway, struck a guardrail, and overturned. Neither athlete was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Firefighters removed Brantley from the car, and both he and Stock were taken to University Hospital. Brantley suffered serious injuries, per the accident report.
