PowerMizzou is reporting that February signee Tyler Howell, a 6'9 tackle from Butler County CC, failed to qualify and will enroll for another semester at Butler. He should be available to report beginning with the winter semester, but he will not enroll this fall. Howell was not an assumed starter, but he was certainly going to have an opportunity with a strong fall camp. Without him, the odds of keeping Connor McGovern at tackle instead of guard certainly increase, but that seems like more of a concern for fans than the coaches, who like him equally at both spots. If anything, this news means that the pressure is on sophomores Nate Crawford and Clay Rhodes -- now one of them absolutely has to be good in 2015.
