RMN Bowl Contest: A Clean Sweep

Firing on all cylinders now

Our win helped push the contest above 51%? Hooray!!
Our win helped push the contest above 51%? Hooray!!
Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The Contest sent the old year out with a bang yesterday, as the community hit each of the six picks.  That swing has helped us to now sit well over 100 games above .500 at 51.05%  It's even moved the needle on the all-time percentage to 51.18%.  Well done gang.

Individually, there's been some more movement at the top, as we start to wind down the number of picks remaining.  This morning sees fengsuede (41-21) holding a one pick lead over Pat Forde, with Icknae and Highonlife one game back from them.  The all-time contest record for wins is 51, and the leaders are within yelling distance of that since there are 9 games/18 picks remaining.

On the other side, Evan Pfaff (24-38) now has a one game lead on threadkiller, with a small group one back from him.

Five games today, so let's take a look at where the community landed:

  • Tenn (-9): 53%
  • Over 45: 76%
  • Michigan (-4): 74%
  • Over 43: 52%
  • the Ohio State (-5): 71%
  • Over 53.5: 72%
  • Iowa (+6.5): 56%
  • Under 56: 68%
  • Ole Miss (+7): 64%
  • Under 68.5 (52%)
Some big gainers in there which could probably help salt away our stay above the Line of Mediocrity.

For a look at the datasheet, click HERE. On the link you can find your picks on the first tab (Form Responses 1). After each pick, I will color them up red/green to denote the winner. On the results tab you can find much of the behind-the-scenes data, but I would also invite you to the bottom of the page to see the yearly and all-time numbers, as well as the per-game percentages. Finally, on the Records tab can you find the Leaderboard.

Happy New Year Everyone!
