After a rocky and uneven non conference season, Mizzou enters the state of Georgia to take on the Bulldogs in their first of 18 conference games in 2016. Mizzou has not beaten Georgia since the 2012-2013 season and if KenPom is to be believed they are not projected to tonight.
But as you read in Sam's preview, things are oddly aligned between this Mizzou team and the Georgia team from 2013-2014, so maybe tonight Mizzou gets to play the role of spoiler in this oddly timed afternoon game. Let's review tonight's three keys Sam identified plus one.
Mizzou Keys to Victory
1) RUN!!! Mizzou is quick and won't have an advantage in the post, so let's see the guards and skinny bigs out there running up and down the floor.
2) Wes Clark. He's been on fire, NBA Jam level fire, let's hope that continues. Burn up those nets Wes, burn them all.
3) The Line. Get to the free throw line and make your shots, do this over, and over, and over again.
Bonus 4) Manage Runs. If Mizzou can contain Georgia runs and stay close, keep the crowd on edge, then belief can take hold in the kids.
That'll take care of it, get it done Mizzou, we're all counting on you.
Happy homecoming Jakeenan!!!
