In the days and months following Mizzou's unvitation to the Big 10, Mizzou's fanbase freaked out a bit at the idea of getting left out of a Power 5 conference and stuck instead in the Mountain West (gross!) or the Big East. Well neither came to pass, Mizzou joined the SEC and Kansas can deal with it.

BUT, at this point it feels like Mizzou did join the Big East with the amount of times they've played Xavier. For the third year running as a part of a million year contract, Mizzou will take on the Musketeers in a nonconference affair, this time on neutral ground in San Juan, Puerto Rico Orlando, Florida.

Mizzou's first game in this never ending series came at home two years ago and if you recall this was the first game Jakeenan Gant was eligible to play in as a result of a nine game suspension from something you assume Frank Haith must have done. He came into that game and hit a three pointer on his first shot...he would take hundreds more before transferring to Louisiana Lafayette and not make another.

In game two last season, Mizzou stayed in the game for the first half but turned the ball over a bunch and we're eventually out shot by Trevon Bluiett. Cullen VanLeer would lead Mizzou in scoring that game putting up 13 points hitting three shots from outside and getting Mizzou fans just a bit excited.

Now, here we are again. Get caught up on two Q&As conducted by and with Sam and the guys at Big East Coast Bias here and here.
Get amped up with this from Mizzou's official Twitter Account:

Finally, let's sit back and enjoy the game and see if Mizzou can get its first win in the Kim Anderson era away from the city of Columbia, MO, who knows, maybe today is the day!
