Creating takeaways and limiting turnovers were tenants of Missouri’s back-to-back East titles. The Tigers had the second-fewest giveaways among SEC teams in 2013 and third-fewest in 2014, tallying 16 each year.

This season, with three games left on the schedule, Missouri already has surpassed its turnover total from those seasons. The Tigers ran their number to 17 with three turnovers in Saturday’s 31-21 loss against South Carolina.
