What's on
Black History Month means something a little bit unique at Missouri at the moment, not only because of what we witnessed in November on campus, but because of what we're still witnessing in Jefferson City.
State leaders making university leaders grovel for money and making them talk tough about potential future protests has been ... enlightening? Predictable? Depressing? All of the above, I guess. This has been quite the year for this state. And it's in no way over.
I haven't written much about this of late, partially because I don't really have anything new to say on the matter (it was immediately obvious that legislators were going to go into full disappointed-parent mode and make Melissa Click the story instead of actual attempted progress), and partially because writing about it affects my ability to close my eyes, put my fingers in my ears, and pretend this is all happening at some other school. So back to that I go. Happy Black History month! Time to stick to sports again...
