Missouri Women's Basketball Ranked 19th in ESPN's Early Top 25

Tigers are one of six SEC programs ranked in the Top 25

Following a 22-10 (8-8) season that saw Mizzou's Women win 13 straight and return to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2006, Robin Pingeton's Tigers are getting some love from the national media.

19. Missouri The Tigers are coming off their best season in 15 years and the core is back. SEC freshman of the year Sophie Cunningham has a chance to be one of the best players in program history. Most of her scoring help will come from Jordan Frericks and Cierra Porter.

Notre Dame and Lousiville are 1-2 according to ESPN. South Carolina ranks #3 ahead of UConn who loses Breanna Stewart to graduation following four straight National Championships.

Nell Fortner over on ESPN also thinks Mizzou is in the discussion with South Carolina and Kentucky for contenders in the SEC next year, primarily due to SEC Freshman of the Year, Sophie Cunningham.

It's easy to see why there's excitement about one basketball program in Columbia.
