The other day Sports On Earth's Matt Brown posted his College Defensive Back Rankings for 2016, explaining:

The following rankings are based on what players have accomplished and what kind of impact they are capable of making at the college level, not necessarily NFL draft projections. The top 20 cornerbacks are below, followed by the top 20 safeties.

The list includes standouts like Florida State's Derwin James, LSU's Jamal Adams, Alabama's Eddie Jackson and Florida's Marcus Maye. Hell, even a Jayhawk made the top twenty!

Now, if you've been paying attention I've been pretty high on Missouri safety Anthony Sherrils' potential; I discussed him in our spring previews. As an avid fan I had to look and see if he or any other Mizzou players made the list. The Tigers' defense was pretty good last year so I was a bit surprised to notice Sherrils only garnered an "honorable mention".

Missouri safety Anthony Sherrils also noticed.

He took to instagram to post some of his greatest hits from this past season, you should really check out his profile

" honorable mention" huh? They gone feel me all season this time!!!! #SavageTime #WEIT

Okay, you got me, this was just an excuse complain about #disrespect and post Sherrils highlights.

What do you think, is Sherrils better than an "honorable mention" on a meaningless preseason list?
