Sports on Earth: Ranking college football's top defensive ends and tackles

5. Charles Harris, Missouri. Just the latest Missouri All-America candidate at defensive end. Acclaimed line coach Craig Kuligowski may be gone, but he leaves behind an excellent group headlined by Harris. Harris stepped into a key role as a sophomore with Shane Ray and Markus Golden gone, posting 56 tackles, 18 ½ tackles for loss and seven sacks. Mizzou may have had a frustrating 2015 season overall, but its defense remained excellent. On one of the top lines in the country, Harris has emerged as the ringleader, a 6-foot-3, 255-pound junior who brings dominant quickness to the Tigers defense off the edge, teaming with Walter Brady to form a potent pass-rush tandem.

Tee hee hee.

ESPN.com: Schedule analysis: Missouri Tigers

The Tigers' four-game stretch against Georgia, Delaware State, LSU and Florida will set the tone for the rest of the season. Sure, that Delaware State game should be -- should be -- a cakewalk for Missouri, but Georgia, LSU and Florida certainly won't be.

Yeah, Delaware State is one of the worst teams in FCS. It will be a cake walk.

The Trib (Blake Toppmeyer): Get to know a 2016 opponent: Delaware State

Delaware State lost 45-13 last season to Kent State – a Kent State team that went 3-9, mind you – to run its all-time record against FBS opponents to 1-5. The Hornets’ lone win against an FBS foe was a 52-26 upset of Akron in 1987. DSU’s other results against FBS foes were a 59-0 loss to Temple in 2014, a 63-6 thumping at the hands of Michigan in 2009, a 24-3 loss to Kent State in 2008 and a 38-7 loss to Kent State in 2007.

See? Really bad.

The Trib (Joe Walljasper): An investigation that just won't end

So I do The Closers every Wednesday on KFRU here in Columbia, and for the last two months I've been telling George that once I heard Title IX was involved, I assumed we wouldn't hear anything about Ehren Earleywine until the end of June.

[looks at calendar] Hooray, everybody! We're going to hear something today!
