Daniel Parker Jr. chose Missouri over Iowa, Iowa State, and Nebraska following Night at the Zou. Parker, a huge Missouri fan according to his father, chose Missouri for the hospitality of the coaches and players. Parker told us that the coaches and players brought him in as if he was already a part of the team and that they made him feel like he was at home. According to Parker, that was exactly what he was looking for.

He was clearly enjoying himself Saturday night, getting to spend time with new coach Barry Odom.

Parker played both offensive tackle and defensive end at Blue Springs High School but is being recruited by Missouri as a defensive end. Parker added that Jackie Shipp has talked to him often and that he's been "a huge part of the process." The lineman has a solid frame and is capable of throwing down lineman with his strength. Parker admits to not having the most impressive size, but adds that he can "bang with the best" because of his strength and quickness.

Oscar, who was at the event Saturday night, says he compares to current DE Walter Brady in terms of size and frame.

Parker will join a solid group of defensive lineman when he gets to Columbia. For Barry Odom, Parker marks the coach's first commitment for the class of 2018. The lineman will benefit greatly from learning from the members of DLineZou.

You can view Parker's highlights on Hudl. Welcome, Daniel!
