The latest on the AD search
Post-Dispatch: Sundvold not part of MU chancellor's AD search committee
The Trib: MU announces five-person advisory committee for AD search
KC Star: MU interim chancellor forms search committee for new athletic director
The most interesting tidbit of the weekend came yesterday:
The thinking around Missouri seems to be against a long, drawn-out AD search. For everyone’s sake would like to resolve sooner than later.

I don't really understand this -- you've got a really good interim and 26 other positions to fill, so I was more than happy to let this process take a while, especially since there are benefits to having an interim. Alas.
Wolken, meanwhile, has uncovered a new (and potentially serious candidate):
Mini-update on Mizzou AD search: Moving quickly. NIU’s Sean Frazier has been identified as prime candidate, per person w/knowledge
— Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) July 24, 2016
Yes, I am positive he is. https://t.co/w8nZNpnztZ

To be clear on Mizzou: I don't know Frazier to be THE top candidate but they have expressed interest. There are still others in mix.

Frazier was hired in the fall of 2013 and was a chief fundraiser at Wisconsin before that. I have no idea what he has done at NIU since both the football and basketball coaches were hired before he took the main role, but he's apparently a hot name in the AD community.
Checking in on Mizzou Basketball
Post-Dispatch: All in a day's work for Mizzou basketball
Checking in on the new Baseball staff
The Trib: Missouri assistant baseball coach happy in new role
