Few changes on the Missouri depth chart as Tigers prepare for EMU

The new game notes and depth charts are out (pdf)! There have been only a couple of peripheral changes, but let’s take a look. (Click to enlarge.)

Offense

Quarterback

• Drew Lock (6’4, 220, So.) -- 23-for-51 (45%), 280 yards, 1 TD, 1 sack (5.2 yards per attempt; 8 non-sack carries, 38 yards (4.8 per carry)
• Marvin Zanders (6’1, 200, So.) — 1-for-2, 2 yards; 7 carries, 47 yards (6.7 per carry)

No changes here, and none were expected. It will be interesting to see how Zanders is used going forward (just as it was interesting on Saturday), but Lock’s obviously going to still be the man.

Tailback

• Alex Ross (6’1, 220, Sr.) — 18 carries, 67 yards (3.7); 1 catch, 3 yards OR
• Ish Witter (5’10, 200, Jr.) — 10 carries, 32 yards (3.2)

Ross, Witter, and presumably Damarea Crockett should find some more running lanes against EMU on Saturday. Let’s see what they do with them.

Wide Receiver

• J’Mon Moore (6’3, 205, Jr.) -- 8 catches, 104 yards
• Keyon Dilosa (6’3, 205, So.) -- 1 catch, 2 yards

Wide Receiver

• Johnathan Johnson (5’10, 185, RSFr.) — 1 catch, 6 yards OR

One slight change: Dilosa is listed as Moore’s backup instead of Dominic Collins. And the slot receiver position is still a three-way "OR" battle despite Chris Black’s huge day in Morgantown.

Harold and Williams are now listed as co-starters. I was curious whether Harold would remain on top after a mostly invisible day against WVU. Williams wasn’t disruptive, but he was around the ball quite a bit.

Meanwhile, here’s to hoping Charles Harris reads every single press clipping this week. Maybe it’ll light a fire.

Defensive Tackle

I was curious about this position, for obvious reasons, but Barry Odom said he still had faith in McCann after the game, and he’s proving it.

(By the way, McCann’s kickoffs were almost as disappointing to me as the two missed field goals. He boomed the ball out of the back of the end zone with ease in the spring game, but neither of his Saturday kickoffs came all that close to the end zone. That puts massive pressure on the coverage unit.

Punter

• Corey Fatony (5’11, 205, So.) — 8 punts, 39.2 average, 3 inside 20
