On Mondays, we talk depth charts.

NCAA Football: Idaho at Missouri Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Missouri has released its depth chart and game notes for Saturday’s game at Connecticut.

Offense

Quarterback

  • Drew Lock (6’4, 225, Jr.) Last Week: 22/33, 467, 6 TDs, 1 INT
  • Micah Wilson (6’3, 215, RSFr.) Last Week: 1/1, 8 yards, 3 rushes — 19 yards
  • Jack Lowary (6’4, 225, So.)

Drew Lock is currently #2 in SEC passing efficiency behind only Georgia’s Jake Fromm. Savvy observers will note what Bill C. pointed out after the game — Lock’s numbers benefit significantly from running up the score on overmatched opponents.

Drew Lock in those five games: 63% completion rate, 18.6 yards per completion, 25-to-2 TD-to-INT ratio, 205.9 passer rating*

Backup QB Micah Wilson was actually allowed to throw a pass vs. Idaho!

Running back

  • Ish Witter (5’10, 200, Sr.) Last Week: 9 — 41, 2 TDs
  • Larry Rountree (5’11, 215, Fr.) Last Week: 12 — 97

Not listed: Damarea Crockett.

Right before kickoff on Saturday, we learned that Crockett would miss the game — and likely more than just the road trip to UConn — after undergoing a Friday shoulder surgery to repair some damage he suffered against Georgia.

That being said, Missouri is in solid hands with Ish Witter’s pass blocking and Larry Rountree’s devastating runs:

Receiving corps

X-WR:

  • J’Mon Moore (6’3, 205, Sr.) Last Week: 11/13 — 174, 1 TD
  • Dominic Collins (6’2, 185, Sr.) Last Week: 1/ 3 — 19

J’Mon Moore rebounded from getting benched vs Georgia with a stat-tacular performance and is on track to become a top 5 Mizzou receiver in terms of touchdowns caught.

Y-WR:

  • Emanuel Hall (6’3, 200, Jr.) Last Week: 3/6 — 80, 1 TD
  • Nate Brown (6’3, 210, R-Jr.) Last Week: 2/2 — 15

Another game, another secondary roasted by deep threat Hemanuel Hall. And look— Nate Brown caught two passes!

Slot:

  • Johnathon Johnson (5’10, 185, So.) Last Week: 1/2 — 50,
  • Richaud Floyd (5’11, 190, So.) Last Week: 1/1 — 18, 1 TD

Only one (long) catch for Missouri’s spark-plug receiver but his contributions weren’t necessary in Saturday’s scrimmage game.

Tight End:

  • Albert Okwuegbunam (6’5, 260, RSFr.) Last Week: 4/4 — 57, 3 TDs
  • Jason Reese (6’5, 250, Sr.) Last Week: 0/1
  • Kendall Blanton (6’6, 260, Jr.) Last Week: 1/1 — 62

Albert Ok has clearly become the go-to tight end for Mizzou’s offense, logging the most snaps and demonstrating his versatility and athleticism while leading the #TightEndPassGame.

Offensive line

Left Tackle:

  • Yasir Durant (6’7, 340, So.)
  • OR Tyler Howell (6’8, 330, Sr.)

Left Guard:

  • Kevin Pendleton (6’4, 330, Jr.)
  • Adam Ploudre (6’4, 315, Sr.)

Center:

  • Trystan Castillo (6’4, 315, RSFr.)
  • Jonah Dubinski (6’2, 295, So.)

Right Guard:

  • Tre’Vour Simms (6’5, 340, So.)
  • AJ Harris (6’4, 310, RSSo.)

Right Tackle:

  • Paul Adams (6’6, 315, Jr.)
  • Samson Bailey (6’4, 295, Jr.)

Another day at the office for these guys. Howell is back to being listed as an “OR” starter.

Defense

Defensive line

Rush End:

  • Marcell Frazier (6’5, 265, Sr.) Last Week: 2 tackles, 1 sack, 1 Pass Break Up, 1 Forced Fumble
  • Chris Turner (6’4, 250, Fr.) Last Week: 0 stats

Defensive End:

  • Jordan Harold (6’2, 255, Sr.) Last Week: 5 tackles, 1 TFL
  • Nate Anderson (6’0, 265, Jr.) Last Week: 4 tackles
  • OR Tre Williams (6’5, 250 R-Fr.) Last Week: 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL, 1 QBH

Missouri’s pass rush had a pulse — albeit against inferior, near FCS-level competition.

Nose Tackle:

  • AJ Logan (6’2, 330, RSR.) Last Week: 1 tackle, 1 TFL
  • Markell Utsey (6’4, 305, So.) Last Week: 0 stats
  • Walter Palmore (6’4, 320, Jr.) Last Week: 0 stats

Logan returned from the six-game suspension due to academic fraud and took the second most snaps after Terry Beckner Jr. Depth is a good thing.

Defensive Tackle:

  • Terry Beckner Jr. (6’4, 305, Jr.) Last Week: 6 tackles, 2 sacks
  • Rashad Brandon (6’3, 300, Jr.) Last Week: 2 tackles, 1 TFL
  • Kobie Whiteside (6’1, 300, Fr.)

Watching Beckner toss those poor offensive lineman around was almost comical. It had to be frustrating for him to not get a sack on every passing down.

Linebackers

Weakside Linebacker:

  • Terez Hall (6’2, 230, Jr.) Last Week: 3 tackles, 0.5 TFLs
  • Joey Burkett (6’2, 230, Sr.) Last Week: 2 tackles, 1 PBU

Middle Linebacker:

  • Cale Garrett (6’3, 235, So.) Last Week: 5 tackles, 0.5 TFLs
  • Eric Beisel (6’3, 245, Sr.) Last Week: 2 tackles

Sam/Nickel defender:

  • Brandon Lee (6’2, 225, Jr.) Last Week: 4 tackles, 1 TFL
  • Joshua Bledsoe (6’0, 200, Fr.) Last Week: 2 tackles
  • TJ Warren (5’11, 215, RSo.)

Secondary

Cornerback:

  • DeMarkus Acy (6’2, 185, So.) Last Week: Did not play
  • Jerod Alton (5’10, 185, R-FR.) Last Week: Did not play

Neither of these guys played vs. Idaho.

Cornerback:

  • Adam Sparks (6’0, 175, Fr.) Last Week: 5 tackles
  • Logan Cheadle (5’10, 185, Sr.) Last Week: 2 tackles

Sure.

Safety:

  • Anthony Sherrils (6’0, 190, Sr.) Last Week: 3 tackles
  • Ronnell Perkins (6’0, 200, So.) Last Week: 2 tackles, 1 Fumble recovery
  • Unlisted: Tavon Ross (6’0, 210, R-Jr.) Last Week: 1 tackle

Sherrils returned from what we were told was a concussion protocol. I hope he can make the most of his final five games.

Safety:

  • Kaleb Prewett (6’1, 210, Jr.) Last Week: 6 tackles
  • Thomas Wilson (5’10, 195, Sr.) Last Week: 2 tackles
  • Unlisted: Jordan Ulmer (6’2, 195) Last Week: 2 tackles

Mizzou’s weekly depth chart is mostly meaningless, doubly so for the secondary.

Special Teams

Kicker:

  • Tucker McCann (6’0, 205, So.)
  • Unlisted: Nick Bartolotta (5’6, 185, RJr.) — Last Week: 8/9 on XPs, 2/2 on field goals — 33, 20

Still no word on why McCann was suspended beyond the standard “breaking team rules,” but the backup kicker — who transferred to Mizzou from kansas, can bench press 385 pounds. So that’s neat.

Punter:

  • Corey Fatony (5’11, 205, Jr.)

Last Week: 2 punts, 86 yards, long of 46

Kick Returner:

  • Larry Rountree (5’11, 215, Fr.) Last Week: 1 — 21 yards
  • Eric Beisel (6’3, 245, Sr.) Last Week: 1 — 12 yards

Punt Returner:

  • Richaud Floyd (5’11, 190, So.) Last Week: 3 — 118 yards, 1 TD

A hilariously blatant block in the back sprung Floyd for his 85-yard punt return.
