Practices for the East-West Shrine Game began yesterday, and two former Mizzou defenders didn’t waste time trying to stand out. Cornerback Aarion Penton (clocking in at 5’9, 180) and tackle Josh Augusta (6’3, 365!) both made the highlight reel after one day. And Penton is just a bit amped about it.
Good luck to #Mizzou's @mizzousavage and @Miz_Amp_11 as they compete in the @Shrine_Game Saturday in St. Pete, Fla.#MIZ #ShowMe pic.twitter.com/hBvOREQ8QR

Penton was ninth in the country with 17 passes defensed in 2016 — five picks and 12 breakups.
Meanwhile...

Augusta had one of the more unique stat lines we’ll ever see in 2016: 15 solo tackles, eight assists, four tackles for loss, a sack, a breakup ... and two rushing touchdowns.
