Hey Mizzou fans! Well, things aren't really going great. Mizzou has lost five games in a row and has started SEC play by losing this past Wednesday at home to LSU...a team coached by Johnny Jones...a man who needs instructions on how to put on pants.

On top of that, Mizzou comes in shorthanded as a result of a season ending injury to freshman big man Mitchell Smith. Mitchell though is in good spirits, so that's positive.

Not only that, but Reed Nikko has got bad ankles that don't allow him to jump and Russ Woods needs a backiatomy.

All that said, Mizzou has a tough row to hoe today. Because not only are they facing Georgia shorthanded, but they're taking on Yante Maten. If you don't know who he is, he's only the best all around player in the entire SEC...so, yeah, it's gonna be a tough one.

Are there things to cling to as hope in this game? I say YES!

  • It's a 1:00 PM game in Georgia, everyone in attendance will still be sleepy from the night before.
  • It's been snowing there, so maybe everyone gets stuck outside and can't get int, making Mizzou feel right at home.
  • KJ Walton is getting minutes and Cullen VanLeer is not, so that's one less thing to complain about.
  • Jakeenan Gant is no longer on the team and as a Georgia native, I'm sure his nerves to do well in front of his friends and family got to everyone the past two years...thanks a lot Frank Haith!

Before tip off, check out Bill C's Mizzou Memories piece the last time Mizzou faced Georgia in the NCAAs, what a time that was!

That's about it, let's get to this game and let's get that first SEC road W in the Kim Anderson era, how's that sound?!
