Welcome @simirollin to the family! Simi Bakare has special traits at the RunningBack position. Trust what you see when you watch this guy. Incredible balance, jump cut ability, with a great frame for development. Cannot wait to watch you run Simi! #TX #ShowMe18 pic.twitter.com/QfSxoyg5R0

After rushing for only 335 combined yards in his sophomore and junior seasons, Bakare finally got a chance to be the feature back at Cedar Ridge High, and while most recruiters had long since moved on, Mizzou was paying attention. Bakare rushed for 1,759 yards and 29 touchdowns as CRHS went 13-2 and reached the doorstep of the state title game. In the process, the one-time Tulane commit scored an offer from the Tigers.
Bakare is a lanky back who doesn’t need much time to reach top speed. His highlight film shows a weaving shiftiness and good vision. He will likely have to put on some weight before threatening to crack a crowded Missouri RB two-deep, but this could be an instance of persistence paying off for Barry Odom and Mizzou.
Simi Bakare was one of the best experiences for us in this class! Sunday Night we stood in the stadium on the field and got to watch Simi make a decision that would change his life & our program. He and his mom were clearly overcame with joy & decided to be Tigers! #ShowMe18
