The last time the Tigers and Rebels met, Kevin Puryear had his best game as a Tiger and nearly won the game single-handedly for Missouri. Puryear had 26 points and 8 rebounds, but in the end Terence Davis and Sebastian Saiz were too much from Ole Miss. The Rebs are 5-4 since then with no real good wins, but no bad losses either. They're 74th in KenPom and are looking to clinch a .500 record at a minimum with a win today.

As usual, Andy Kennedy has a team that's pretty good offensively. The surprise is their defense is better than they've been historically. This is Kennedy's best defensive team since the 2012 team which won the SEC Tournament and a game in the NCAAs. For Missouri to contend in this game they're going to have to find ways to score the ball against a decent defense on the road. They'll need probably 3 of the big 4 players to play well, and have Cullen VanLeer and Russell Woods not disappear.

So Missouri will either leave Oxford with a 34 game road losing streak and only one more chance to break it this season next week against Auburn, or they'll finally get the elusive road win for the first time in the Kim Anderson era. KenPom projects a 78-68 win for the Rebels. It will be a challenge, but not impossible to keep this within 10 points particularly with how "well" the Tigers have been playing of late. Ultimately I think they keep it within 10 but lose, I'll guess it's a 73-66 game.
