Rock M Nation Bowl Pick ‘Em: The final day!

Well, as all things must, our contest comes to an end today, barring a tie. With five bowl games left, and hence, ten more picks to be had, there’s still enough time to change up the leader board. Friendly reminder, as it is a little weird to see a non-winning team as our “winner”, the games are based on the spread, which just reminds me of the South Park Episode. For anyone who’s forgotten, the first tiebreaker is the winner of the championship game on the eighth, and if need be, the second is the total points scored.

Anyway, find all the action here. Picks on the first sheet, the data calculations are on the second, and your overall records are on the third. We had a few shifts with the last batch, dawg wild still holds the top spot at 48-22, but SouthernTiger and Bamboo19 are right there at 47-23, and Dirk98-02 finishes out the top four at 45-25. At the other end, trripleplay now holds the lone bottom spot at 27-43. The group as a whole is at 53.38%, and the truly random coin flip right now is at 39-31.

As mentioned in our first update, a small handful picked while the Liberty Bowl didn’t have a team option, and there are still a few who I didn’t hear from in time. So my initial thought as not to penalize the early birds was to give them that pick. However, majority rules, so you can vote as to what option you think is best/fair, and I’ll run with that. (My apologies) Iowa State was the winner in that one, for what it’s worth. (And, yes, it’s just a for-fun deal, but again, I’ll let the majority decide.)

(Also, certain platforms strip out the poll, so if it doesn’t show, you can leave your choice in the comments, it’s pretty much leave it be, change it to strictly those who picked Iowa State, or just remove the pick from the contest.)
